Self translation of my poem Pal Pal Intezaar

WAITING  EVERY MOMENT

I knew it very well that you will
Not come, still I was waiting in vain
I did met some people on the way
But my soul was fixated with you
Even if all the clouds rain the entire day
They cannot fulfill desires of a Chakor*

I was proud of my affection towards you
That one day it will bring you to me
Now string of my last breaths is cracking
Which thread of the string will bring you towards me

I used to think that I will crush your pride
But I was waylaid, I had forgotten
The simple rule of devotion
To get someone closer
One has to bury her own pride

Though unfamiliar with the rule of devotion
Yet I was fully devoted to you
Even if the strings of your heart did not vibrate
But my heart’s harp was full of music

What will you gain by knowing my plight
Let the sparked amber remained buried in the ashes
Do not hurt me any more my Beloved
Let my eternal wait be over for all times
Let me die peacefully now

*Chakor  is  bird which constantly looks at Moon &  only drinks droplets from a particular  star, otherwise he prefers to die without drinking any drop of water.
